Over the last 20 years, Kenneth Bowlus has served in a variety of sales management positions with a particular emphasis on high-level specialized customer service. The son of a Certified Public Accountant and Treasurer of a national industrial conglomerate, Ken has maintained a lifelong focus on financial well-being. In 2000 and 2001 when the technology bubble burst, many seniors lost more than 40% of their savings; something they could ill afford. As each of us matures, the level of risk and tax consequences that were completely appropriate when we were 30 or 40 years old, are now generally inappropriate if we are 65 or older.
After witnessing personal family members experience many of the health and financial issues that seniors face today, Ken decided to redirect his energies exclusively on educating and assisting the senior market. In 2005 he embarked upon his career as an elder planning specialist, with the sole desire to better the lives of his family, friends and clients. His passion for the challenges these individuals face, and his detailed knowledge of elder planning and senior issues, make him a valued member of the GP Financial team.
Ken received his BS from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1990 and is licensed by the State of California in life insurance, long-term care protection, and fixed annuities, with specialization in senior products. He has attended IRA and Annuity Universities and has completed studies in all aspects of Elder Planning.
